According to the Fox television broadcast, Michigan running backs coach Mike Hart had a seizure while watching the Wolverines play Indiana in the first quarter.
With 4:57 remaining in the quarter, Indiana converted an extra point to knot the score at 7. Hart then fell to the ground. The Michigan players moved away from the bench and dispersed
Jim Harbaugh, the head coach of Michigan, and other coaches watched while Hart was treated by trainers.
Arrived on the field to check on the former Indiana running backs coach, Hart was placed on a stretcher and carried off the field, but he was still moving his head and limbs.
Hart departed Memorial Stadium to get further testing at a medical facility. According to Fox, Hart contacted the squad at halftime to let them know he was doing fine
From 2017 through 2020, Hart served as Tom Allen's assistant at Indiana. He then enrolled Michigan and played football there.
He carried for more than 5,000 yards when he was a player, and he currently leads the fourth-ranked Wolverines in career running yards.
Michigan running backs Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards were visibly emotional on the sideline and were consoled by other coaches as Hart was being carted off.
